1. Right to Refuse Entry or Remove Patrons

170 Russell reserves the right to refuse entry or require any patron to leave the premises where reasonably necessary for safety, security, licensing compliance or the orderly operation of the venue. This includes, without limitation, patrons who are intoxicated, aggressive, threatening, disorderly, engaging in unlawful activity, breaching these Conditions of Entry or refusing to follow lawful staff directions.

Where entry is refused or a patron is removed due to their own misconduct or breach of these conditions, refunds will not ordinarily be provided, except where required by law.

2. Patron Conduct and Safety

170 Russell has zero tolerance for violence, harassment, discrimination, sexual harassment, threatening behaviour and deliberate interference with staff or other patrons.

Crowd surfing, stage diving, climbing structures, throwing objects, entering restricted areas or engaging in conduct that creates an unreasonable risk of injury may result in immediate removal.

Patrons must comply with all reasonable safety directions issued by venue staff.

3. Damage to Venue Property

Patrons are responsible for loss or damage to venue property, equipment or fixtures caused by their intentional, reckless or negligent acts or omissions, to the extent permitted by law.

170 Russell reserves the right to seek recovery of reasonable repair or replacement costs arising from such conduct.

4. Prohibited Items and Security

Weapons, illicit drugs, outside alcohol, glass containers, dangerous objects and other items reasonably considered a safety or security risk are prohibited.

Bag inspections and reasonable security screening may be conditions of entry. Patrons who decline required screening may be refused admission, subject to applicable law.

5. Tickets, Refunds and Event Changes

A valid ticket is required for admission unless otherwise authorised.

Tickets may be subject to additional event-specific terms established by the promoter or authorised ticketing provider.

Where a patron is denied entry or removed due to their own misconduct or breach of these conditions, the ticket may be forfeited without refund, except where required by law.

Events may be cancelled, postponed or modified due to operational, safety, regulatory or other circumstances. Any entitlement to a refund or other remedy will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law and the relevant ticketing terms.

Nothing in these conditions excludes rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Passouts and Re-entry

Passouts and re-entry are permitted where authorised by venue staff and subject to event-specific conditions, capacity restrictions, licensing requirements and security assessments.

Possession of a passout stamp does not guarantee re-entry where lawful grounds for refusal exist.

7. Personal Property

Patrons are responsible for their personal belongings while attending the venue.

170 Russell is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except to the extent that such loss or damage results from the venue's breach of a legal duty or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any cloakroom service may be subject to additional conditions displayed at the point of use.

8. Photography, Filming and CCTV

Photography, audio recording and video recording may occur within the venue for event documentation, security and promotional purposes by the venue or event organisers.

By entering the venue, patrons acknowledge that incidental images of them may be captured during events and used in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the venue's privacy policy.

CCTV operates for security and safety purposes, with footage managed in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Live Music and Inherent Risks

Live performances may involve loud sound levels, flashing or strobe lighting, crowded spaces and moving audiences.

Patrons should exercise reasonable care and notify venue staff if they require assistance.

170 Russell takes reasonable steps to provide a safe environment. Nothing in these conditions excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

10. Compliance with Venue Directions

All patrons must comply with lawful and reasonable directions from venue management, staff and security personnel.

Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or removal from the venue.

These conditions operate alongside applicable laws, liquor licence conditions and event-specific requirements.
